Graduate Scheme

We have vacancies and welcome applications from recently qualified practitioners.  To meet the needs of clients coming to us for help,  we are particularly interested in applications from psychodynamic counsellors, recently qualified CBT,  CAT, and DBT practitioners. This  scheme is for those who wish to to build up their experience in private practice, or to increase their clinical contact hours in order to apply for accreditation with BACP registration..  On this scheme you would be offering  medium cost therapy to the public  (between £30 – £45 per session).  Practitioners are required to pay for their own room hire and supervision.  We require graduates to receive in house supervision and see all their BTC clients on the premises.

There is an opportunity to apply to join BTC as an associate practitioner once you gain your accreditation.

We particularly welcome applications from LGBTQI and BME practitioners as these groups are under-represented in our practitioner community.

Application requirements:

  • has completed a clinical training of at least two years part time
  • has already completed  a minimum of 150 client contact hours.
  • has  completed at least 70 study days over two years.
  • is able to commit for at least two years
  • is available to attend a weekly in house supervision group ( please ask for details ).
