Mine Goundouz (Practice Manager)

I am an experienced HR/Recruitment specialist and Practice Manager who is in the process of completing the Advanced Level 7 Human Resources Management Diploma. (CIPD)

I am from Cyprus and I studied English Literature and Humanities in Eastern Mediterranean University. For the last 15 years, I worked in diverse HR roles in cross industry sectors in UK from hospitality to health sector, majorly focusing on streamlining processes, reducing costs, staffing solutions, performance, best practices, compliance and designing and developing systems and processes to increase efficiency in teams.

In my last role, I worked in BSUH NHS Trust for 9 years, managing various recruitment teams, comprising of 2 to 5 staff members, to fulfil fluctuating staffing needs of two very large and busy hospitals. Working cross-site, I have managed and led divisional leads to reach targets with best practices possible, introduced electronic staff records, reducing costs by 60% and contributed into the business plan to provide the recruitment team with the most up to date ATS systems.

Being a member of the underrepresented groups, I also worked voluntarily as a Black Minority Ethnicity Lead for HR and a Steering Group member and Social Secretary for the LGBTQ Network, providing statistics, reports to HR Business Partner and HR Director and offering pragmatic solutions to issues arising in recruiting and managing staff due to unconscious bias and discrimination. I have also assisted organising and running of the BME Conferences in Brighton and London and acted as Values and Behaviours Champion in BSUH NHS Trust, promoting healthy, honest, transparent working relationships to improve working environments.

I joined Brighton Therapy Centre in November 2016, as the Practice Manager. My role in BTC involves managing the facilities, stakeholders, bookkeeping and finances, streamlining processes and reforming the systems to serve the main purpose of BTC more effectively and ensuring a smooth day to day running of the practice. I manage the social media presence, marketing, software developments, Health and Safety, Fire Safety and offer a smooth on boarding process and inductions to all our new starters. Under the light of my previous experiences in other sectors, my vision has been to implement and sustain an all inclusive clinical practice environment and create a congruent, safe and stable service to our practitioners and clients.
