The beginning of a new chapter

After opening our doors in the heart of Brighton eight years ago offering low cost high quality therapy to Brighton residents,  Brighton Therapy Centre (BTC) is now in a position to grow and develop our offer in order to meet the needs  of our clients (practitioners) and our service users (patients).

Our current structure has created a foundation and infrastructure for the centre to thrive.  For this reason our active Board see the need for our operational structure to reflect this growth in order to continue our journey.  We are therefore delighted to announce a new position of Co-Director – Business Lead who will help lead our charitable business and ensure that we are responding to the needs of our Community and Charitable aims and guide us towards the next chapter in our development.

The story so far

Brighton Therapy Centre is a registered charity in the heart of Brighton, that provides a wide range of high quality psychological therapies for the residents of Brighton, Hove and the surrounding areas.  We believe that all sectors of our community should have access to high quality mental health treatment, and provide our services inclusively, fairly and equally. We take pride in being an inclusive and safe environment for all members of our community.

We set up as a charity to ensure that low cost and subsidised services are made available to those who would not otherwise be able to afford professional therapy.

How we work

Our mission: To be a centre of clinical excellence. All therapists who work within BTC are carefully chosen for quality and professionalism. Patients seeking help are offered an initial consultation with an experienced practitioner to ensure they receive appropriate forms of therapy recommended in the Department of Health’s N.I.C.E. Guidelines.

The first appointment is low cost, subsidised by BTC and our practitioners  We assist patients with making an informed choice as to the kind of therapy they feel will be most beneficial to them.

We work holistically with therapy ranging from personal development to working with more severe emotional difficulties and conditions.
