Working at BTC

All of our practitioners have chosen to work at BTC because they share our Charitable aims and are willing to offer a proportion of their work at very low cost.

We particularly welcome applications from BME practitioners in order to ensure that our practitioners are representative of our local community.

Brighton Therapy Centre has four schemes for practitioners to reflect their level of experience and training:

Senior Associate Scheme: Practitioners with over 10 years post qualification experience,  with a broad range of skills including clinical supervision, consultation and training, are invited to become senior associates.  They contribute to the therapies which we provide and also carry out assessments, supervision and training. Our aim is to have senior associates who represent the psychological approaches which we are able to offer.

Associate Scheme: Skilled practitioners who have BACP accreditation or are registered with UKCP, BPC, BABC, BPS, HPC.

Graduate Scheme: Practitioners who have completed their training and who wish to build up their hours in order to gain BACP accreditation and experience.   They offer lower cost therapy, and receive in house supervision.

Trainee Placement Scheme: Students in training provide low cost supervised counselling and therapy and receive in-house supervision.
